Start with your electricity use, roof, future needs and whether a battery may be useful later.

Review high bills, exports, system size, inverter and whether the next step is more solar, battery or no change.
I'm considering a battery
Understand why exports, evening grid use, tariff, inverter and backup needs matter.
Solar and batteries should be sized around your household
I look at current electricity use, when you use it, the property, existing solar, future EV charging and what you want to achieve.
Solar
Often strongest when the home can use useful solar generation directly or has future electrical loads.
Solar + Battery
May make sense when surplus solar can be stored and used later instead of buying grid electricity.
Existing System Review
Sometimes more panels, an inverter change, a smaller battery or no change is the better answer.
Planning for an EV?
An EV can materially change household electricity use. Charging time matters too: daytime solar charging is very different from evening or overnight charging.
Backup power
If backup matters, I also need to know what you want to keep operating during an outage. Backup requirements can change battery size and design.
