Once you accept the proposal, I make sure the agreed version and important customer information are handed to the appropriate installation partner. The installer manages the physical installation and commissioning, while I remain involved in the customer relationship and follow up after completion.
1. The accepted proposal is confirmed
The exact proposal version you accepted should become the source of truth. That avoids confusion if earlier versions contained different system sizes, equipment or pricing.
2. The project is handed to the installation partner
The handover can include the accepted system, site details, customer requirements, photos, backup expectations and anything else that was agreed during the proposal stage.
3. Installation requirements are checked
Depending on the project, the installer may need to confirm site conditions, network requirements, switchboard details, roof access, equipment availability or other technical items before the installation date is finalised.
4. The installation is scheduled
The customer should know when the work is expected to happen, what access is needed and whether anything must be prepared beforehand.
5. Qualified installers complete the physical work
I do not personally carry out the electrical installation. The physical installation and commissioning are completed by the appropriate qualified installation professionals.
6. Commissioning and monitoring are checked
After installation, the system should be commissioned and any monitoring access set up so the customer can see how the system is operating.
7. I follow up
My involvement does not end when the proposal is accepted. I follow up after installation to check that the customer is happy, monitoring is working and any questions or issues are directed to the right people.
8. Problems stay visible until addressed
If something needs attention, I want it recorded and followed through rather than disappearing into a chain of messages. That is an important part of the service model I am building.
Why the handover matters
If a customer accepted a revised proposal with a different battery size, the installer should receive that exact accepted version—not an older quote. Keeping one clear source of truth reduces avoidable mistakes.
The overall process
Understand → Recommend → Agree → Deliver → Support.
The aim is to keep continuity for the customer even though the physical installation is carried out by an installation partner.
